A collection of writing on love, loss, and the quiet work of continuing.

About the Author

Reflection

I have taught middle school students in an inner-city school for twenty-nine years. Over the decades, my power of reflection has helped me build and reframe a vision of how community, family, and individual relationships form us. I believe these connections provide the motivation and power to thrive, and that words spoken openly and from the heart are the basis for hope.

From Foothills to Basin

Growing up in the rural community of Grass Valley and spending the last thirty years living in a densely populated part of Los Angeles called East Hollywood has provided me with a unique opportunity to view the world through multiple lenses. This duality allows me to draw upon a wide range of experiences that I hope will resonate with my readers. As my youngest son said recently, "I am so glad we have this house in Grass Valley to come to during our breaks. It has made me a different person. I see the world in ways my friends don't."

My Writing

My work lives between two spaces:

What was built with someone I loved,
and what it means to continue after.

I write about memory, habit, presence—
and the quiet ways people remain with us as we try to move forward.

Love and loss echo through time

She remains In All My Spaces traces a love that begins in emotional chaos, finds steadiness, and is forever changed by illness.

Words can heal or harm use them to do good.

Read my book as a letter between us, not lessons.   I don't need to know if it was 'good' or 'bad.' My only hope is that it resonates with you or offers a moment of light.  If a passage lifts you or speaks to your own experience, please share that story with me."
